Here Comes the Sun

Summer
Hair gets lighter, skin gets darker, water gets warmer,
drinks get colder, music gets louder, nights get longer. Life gets better.

The latest summer collection 'Here Comes the Sun' is out now.
(And yes I had to awkwardly model the products myself, ha.
It felt strange to be on the other side of the lens).

Up and Runnning!

Oops, I have been neglecting my blog a bit lately. I have been a bit busy with all of the excitement and nervousness from launching Long Lost Dreams on Facebook! (And with training our new little puppy, Billie)

Head on over and have a nosey here :)

Have a look, keep up to date with new products, give us any feedback, request a custom dreamcatcher, share with your lovely friends, and maybe even chuck us a like if you want ;)

Exciting plans ahead! Just taking it one step at a time, so my head doesn't fall off!

Stay tuned...

Dreaming of the Sea

I don't know about you but I have the winter blues. Sure I love sitting by the fire, but it seems like so long since I have snorkelled at Point Turton, breathed in the salty air and have had warm glowing sun-kissed skin. The ocean is calling me.....

Just a bit of summer reminiscing (All photos are my own)

DIY - Turn an old braided Bali bracelet into a necklace

Who doesn't love a good DIY project? Here I show you how to turn that old braided Bali bracelet you keep forgetting to wear, into a necklace you will want to wear all the time. Hope you like it :)

Step 1
Collect your materials.

You will need:

- Braided bracelet
- Turquoise gemstone nuggets
- Jump rings
- Eye pins
- Leather crimp
- Jewellery pliers
- Various charms
- Chain & Lobster clasp

Step 2
Measure and mark out where each charm will be attached to the bracelet, and thread jump rings through the braid. Thread eye pins through your turquoise gemstone nuggets.

Step 3
Close off your eye pins and attach to the jump rings.

Step 4
Attach your charms to the eye pins, using some more jump rings. Attach the leather crimp to the feather.

Step 5
Attach the chain to the ends of the bracelet using jump rings. Add a lobster clasp, and you're done!

Doily Obsession

I've always loved doilies. Not sure how or why...It may be from those times as a kid when I watched in fascination as my Grandma crocheted them. Or maybe I'm just a bit of a tea drinking doily loving nana.

Each one has a unique pattern, like a fingerprint, and was handmade with love by someone. There are so many uses for doilies these days - from fashion to jewellery, to gift wrapping to lighting - the list is endless.

So I've put together a collection of doily dreamcatchers that I have created, and a few inspiring doily uses and DIY's that I have found. Embrace your inner nana!
